Welcome to the JKS Scotland Website, a fantastic resource for all Karate-Ka serious about the art of traditional Shotokan Karate.

We are an association passionate about the traditional martial art of Shotokan Karate and are determined to practice our art, and teach our learnings to our students in order to preserve the natural values of this world renowned style of Karate.

Today, JKS Scotland is the largest and most successful traditional karate association in Scotland. We are members of the Scottish Karate Governing Body, the only recognised Governing Body for Karate in Scotland, and are also fully affiliated to Japan Karate Shotorenemei Japan.

• The aims and objectives of JKS Scotland are to foster, administer and advance the art of traditional Shotokan Karate.
• Our goal is to teach, motivate, educate and guide our students and instructors while promoting exemplary ethics in Karate-Do.
• We promise to do this through regular training of the highest order, course and grading events, special courses, and of course, competitions for both junior and senior alike.
